New Layout for the Amba Aradam/Porta Metronia Construction Site and Replacement of Some Trees
Starting from May 2023, there is a planned change in the construction phase of the Metro C Amba Aradam/Porta Metronia Station, with the relocation of work areas to Piazzale Ipponio near the “Centro Sportivo SS Romulea.”
The change in construction also involves a modification of the road layout, with the maintenance of a two-lane traffic flow.
The new construction site layout also includes, in accordance with the instructions provided by the Department of Environmental Protection – Directorate of Environmental and Green Territorial Management, the removal and replacement of some tree species along via Farsalo, due to their precarious vegetative conditions and the high risk of collapse.
Starting from April 12, 11 trees of Acer negundo located on the sidewalk along via Farsalo up to the intersection with via Apulia will be removed.
During the external area redevelopment works of the Amba Aradam/Porta Metronia Station, the removed trees will be replaced by planting 11 Ligustrum japonica aurea trees.
