The Malatesta station was built beneath the Piazza by the same name, where the bus termini and stops are located.
The new pedestrian plaza is marked, at the centre, by an underground, open-air space accessible by steps linking the outside with the station’s intermediate lobby: a large space designed for commercial and cultural activities and events, providing the neighbourhood with a place to meet and socialise.
The Malatesta station has been open to the public since 29 June 2015.
